Victoria and Chris’s downtown Galt engagement shoot was a beautiful reflection of their love story, set against the backdrop of some of Downtown Cambridge’s most iconic locations. From the historic charm of Mill Race Park to the urban vibe of downtown Galt, Tapestry Hall and The Gaslight District their photos captured the essence of their relationship in a truly special way.
The engagement shoot began at Mill Race Park, a picturesque spot known for its stunning views of the Grand River. As the couple strolled and laughed along the river walk, the soft, natural light illuminated their faces, creating a romantic and ethereal atmosphere. The old stone and greenery provided the perfect backdrop for intimate moments between Victoria and Chris, as they laughed and danced in front of the camera.
Next, we ventured into downtown Galt, with its iconic bridge spanning the Grand River (as seen in the TV Show The Handmaid’s Tale). We judged the traffic lights to perfection and dodged traffic to get some amazing shots of Victoria + Chris in the middle of the bridge holding hands and running towards the camera with smiles and laughter all over their faces.
Tapestry Hall & the Gaslight District was the next stop on their engagement shoot. This area is a modern and elegant location that provided a stark contrast to the old-world charm of Mill Race and downtown Galt. The sleek lines and contemporary design of the space offered a sophisticated backdrop for more photos of the two of them before we headed over the road to the Sculpture Garden.
Finally, we ended the engagement shoot with a stroll along the banks of the Grand River. This led to another iconic bridge, this time the newly build Grand River Pedestrian Bridge which provided the perfect place for a quiet kiss and cuddle.
